Studio Ruei

Studio Ruei, an interior studio led by registered architect Yuisze Wong, engaged us to reposition its brand identity to reflect a clear focus on commercial practice. With a portfolio spanning hospitality, residential, and F&B projects, the studio operates through a methodical, evidence-based framework where spatial strategy, technical precision, and functional intelligence guide every decision. The rebrand was conceived to articulate this architectural foundation—communicating clarity, authority, and commercial acuity through a composed and deliberate visual language.


Our collaboration centred on developing a cohesive brand system that translates Studio Ruei’s working methodology into a clear narrative. From spatial logic to conceptual intent, the identity was structured to mirror the studio’s disciplined approach, balancing analytical rigour with a measured sense of warmth. The resulting system positions Studio Ruei as a practice grounded in strategic thinking, capable of delivering environments that align operational needs with refined spatial experiences.


A bespoke wordmark was created as a central expression of this identity. Set in refined serif typography with elongated proportions and generous spacing, the mark references architectural drawing conventions—elevation lines, structure, and proportion—while subtle curves introduce softness and continuity. When paired with darker backgrounds, the wordmark conveys quiet confidence and authorship, serving as a timeless visual signature that reflects the immersive, considered quality of the studio’s work.


The colour palette draws from architectural neutrality and material sensibility. Deep, earthy tones are anchored by softened mineral neutrals, creating a restrained spectrum that feels composed and assured. Darker hues frame content with precision, while muted greens and ochres allude to craftsmanship and tactility. Applied across the website and social platforms, the system was designed as an integrated whole: the website functions as an editorial platform presenting projects as structured case studies, while social media extends this thinking through curated content pillars that reinforce credibility, process, and expertise. Together, these touchpoints establish a clear, professional presence for Studio Ruei—measured, articulate, and commercially focused.
